Purchase: I got this saddle from a friend for $450, since she wanted to get it out of her tack room and I needed a new saddle to fit my new TB mare.
Likes: I like the deep seat and the longer flap that give me a more secure position no matter my sturrip length. The leather was easily broken in and conditioned for my use in pony club. The knee roll is long enough to accomidate the dressage length, but high enough to prevent the knee from slipping in jumping length. I have jumped 3'9" in this saddle and never once felt insecure. I've also fox hunted in this saddle. I once had this saddle go from a perch horse to an appy pony in a horse switch and it fit them both great. This makes a great first saddle if you are wanting to both Jump and Dressage.
Dislikes: The saddle does give me a hard time with my dressage seat since it does not sit level on my TB mare.
Quality: The Construction is of the highest standards and what I have come to expect from Henri de Rivel. I have ridden in several of these saddles before and never once have they let me doen in their quality.
Summary: I've yet you find a horse this saddle doesn't fit. I love this saddle.
