Purchase: This saddle was acquired on EBay in excellent condition for $950. My trainer has the same saddle and I tried it out once and had to have one for myself.
Likes: The leather is superb quality throughout. This saddle is by far the most comfortable and supportive dressage saddle I have sat to date. The knee/thigh blocks provide great stability and place your leg in a perfect position for a long legged rider. The seat is medium-deep and very well padded with great comfort for sitting the trot but is not so deep to interfere with posting, as required. There seems to be more of these great saddles coming on the market used -- a new one retails for over $2300. My trainer waited a year for her used Jaguar and I was fortunate to locate one at a great price in only a week or so. Also, I do eventing and the saddle has point billets which allow me to use a standard A/P girth. It has wool-flocked panels which work great and are very comfortable for my horse -- 17h Canadian Sporthorse/Draft cross.
Dislikes: Nothing.
Quality: Superb and very durable leather throughout. Quality of the construction and stitching is also superb. It will provide years of great riding and is very comfortable for my horse.
Summary: I would highly recommend this saddle for anyone who is serious about dressage/eventing and wants a durable, high-quality saddle that allows close contact and great comfort for rider and horse!
