Purchase: I purchased this blanket for my mare because the one she had made her look like a big horse in a little coat. I bought it from Country Supplies mail order catalogue for $60.
Likes: I was very happy to see that the blanket covered her completely. I mean fully covered her. Most blankets seem to shift and leave part of the horse exposed but not this one. I also have to mention that the straps did not come undone even once. Also, I finally washed it at the end of the season to put away in storage, and was rather surprised at how well the light color came clean.
Dislikes: I was disappointed that there were only two color choices , mint green and baby blue, but the color actually made my horse very easy to spot in the pasture!
Quality: Quality construction, very heavy duty with very warm insulation. The lining of the blanket is also super soft so it didn't cause any rubbing.
Summary: The Amigo heavy weight blanket kept my horse very warm and dry all winter and it is in great shape, I predict it will last quite a few seasons.
