Purchase: I purchased these shoes online from Crazy Horse for $89.99. That was the best price around.
Likes: These are super light and are well ventilated for hot weather. I live in Houston, TX so "hot weather friendly" is a big deal. They come in great colors so you are not just stuck with boring brown. Some riding shoes are a little wide making it difficult to catch your stirrups but that's not the case with these shoes. They are narrow enough to fit in your stirrups nicely.
Dislikes: These shoes don't have any ankle support so be careful when out prowling around in dried mud hoof prints, rocks, etc.. You need to avoid mud anyway because these shoes are vented to allow airflow. Totally not a muck shoe on any level! And lastly - I own two other pair of Ariats (Terrian and H2Os) and I wear a 7 in both but when I ordered these I had to return for a 7 1/2. A big bummer is that they can only be bought on line so you can't try them on.
Quality: These Dumas are a little lacking in the arch support area. My other 2 pair of Ariats feel like tenny shoes but these are way stiff on the inside. I do like the way your foot is enclosed with an inside liner style so dirt, rocks, hay, and stuff(poop) won't get in your shoes. This product is sturdy and put together well. I'm sure it will last a long time.
Summary: Well my Dumas aren't the most comfortable piece of riding attire I own but they will serve their purpose for this summer.
