Purchase: I got this saddle new from Holtz saddle company via the internet for $1299 with free shipping. I was disappointed that it had some scratches on it when it arrived , but they were very customer orientated , and I didn't want to return it because it was such a great saddle.
Likes: I love this saddle! When I ride in a regular saddle I feel so stiff because I've gotten so use to the flex lite. I think my horse really likes the flex of the saddle , as she preforms much better in this saddle than a regular saddle. It is so comfortable for the rider also. Its just the right amount of padding in the seat and the stirrup angles are just right. It instantly molds to your body , and your behind. The silver concho's and tooling are gorgeous and just make it that much more fun to ride!
Dislikes: As with any saddle , you have to use the right pad. At first I was using a cheap fleece pad and my back would hurt constantly. I use a diamond wool pad and now its like heaven. I always knew it wasn't the saddle! Also if you are on a budget this would be a hard saddle to afford as they run $1100 - $1500.
Quality: The construction is wonderful. As soon as I see a circle Y , I know because of the quality they display. The leather doesn't wear and always looks superbly gorgeous I really love the look. It fits any horse great!
Summary: I really love this saddle give or take. Its the best I've ever tried. And having spent 9 months looking for a saddle I'm happy to spend my time riding in this one , its always a pleasure to ride my horse. This saddle is superb quality , excellent craftsmanship , fits the rider and horse , and is beautiful.
