Purchase: I bought this pad at a small local tack shop for $110. The retail was $170 but it was an end-of-season clearance sale and it was the last one left! Talk about lucking out!
Likes: I love absolutely everything about this pad. I know my horse loves it, too! I originally bought it to make the rides more comfortable for him, but I have found it actually makes my ride more comfortable too! The extra cushion is great! Also, the removable foam inserts help to relieve pressure from the saddle on certain areas of the horse's back. The durability is great! I have had mine for a few months now and you would think I had just brought it out of the tack shop! After each wash it looks absolutely brand new!
Dislikes: The price is pretty steep, which is what kept me from buying it for so long. But I really did luck out with only paying $110, and if I had to buy one again knowing what I know now about the quality, I would be willing to pay full price.
Quality: This product is made from the finest, softest sheepskin. The stitching is very sturdy, and the overall construction is great! I really doubt I will have to retire this pad anytime in the next few years. I imagine that the quality and great construction could allow me to use this pad for the next 10 years!
Summary: I love this pad! Though the price is high, it really is worth every penny! Excellent construction, excellent quality sheepskin, and great effectiveness! I recommend this pad to everyone!
