Purchase: I bought this blanket at a local horse tack store and although I do not remember how much I payed for this blanket I remember that it was a good price for the warmth of the blanket.
Likes: I shaved my horse this winter and it was a very warm blanket so it kept my horse comfy while he stayed in our unheated barn overnight. I also loved the dark chocolate brown color with the beige checks.
Dislikes: The cut of the blanket in the front, it cuts down right above the buckles. Although I feel it would fit a thick horse well, it rubbed my selle francais' shoulders raw. Due to the cut it slid back much farther then it should have and its cotton underlayer prevented you from simply pulling it forward. I also absorbed every bit of urine possible from laying down and needs to be wash very frequently.
Quality: The fabric was very weak, I found if it caught on the smallest of things it ripped, and until you repaired it the rip would continue to grow.
Summary: If my horse hadn't dirtied it so quickly I would have returned it.
I would not recommend this blanket to anyone that has a finer built horse or a horse that is in the least bit hard on there blankets.
