Purchase: Purchased at Horse Country in Leavenworth, Ks for $33.22. I have a couple over weight geldings. I have been putting a wire muzzle on one for a year now, half a day at a time. So i decided to start putting another muzzle on the second gelding.

Dislikes: The first thing I do is cut off the nylon strap and attach the muzzle to a halter using plastic ties. My experience with the original straps is that they don't stay on the horse for any length of time.
My grief with the Tough-1 wire muzzle from JT Intl. is that it did not hold up to even a week of use. One side of the wire muzzle pulled away from the protective cover. My older wire muzzle (different manufacturer) lasts for 4-6 months before I have to replace it... This one lasted exactly one week. And the bad news is that I had a hard time finding one so when i did I bought two.... I suspect the second one will only last a week as well.
Quality: The wire is simply 'tacked' to the wire ring rather than having it wrap around the ring before it is welded.
Summary: I will try to repair this muzzle but I suspect it is a waste of time. And I will try to return the second muzzle and then start looking another muzzle like the first one I have.
