Purchase: March 2007, $15 plus shipping on eBay. My gelding was interfering in the back, and needed some protection.
Likes: Beautifully made, fit very well, easy to put on and take off, and footing or sand/gravel doesn't seem to jam underneath them. The smooth satiny nylon surface inside conforms very well to the leg, you can see this when the boot is removed by the sweat marks. The boot is very easy to properly fit, and reaches all the way past the fetlock (cupping and covering it), a little way down the pastern, protecting very well. I use a bell boot with these, for complete coverage.
Dislikes: Although the fabric is nice and slick, it's not the easiest to keep clean. Will try a little detergent instead of mild soap next time. Because they're white, they do get dirtier.
Quality: Wonderful, sturdy construction. The velcro is just the right size and 'stiffness'. Good quality stitching.
Summary: An excellent boot. I would have happily paid more, but this great bargain came up, so couldn't turn it down! Do get the DOUBLE lock ones, as they are sturdier.
