Purchase: I purchased this blanket in November 2006 from the Schneiders catalog. I purchased this blanket because of the good reviews it got on this website. I paid about $ 119.00.
Likes: I really like the closed front construction. I also really like the belly band feature. This feature is a must for horses turned out all winter. I no longer had to scrub the mud off my horses belly as it was protected by the bellyband. The blanket stayed in place really well. I was a little nervous about the belly band as I thought he might get a foot stuck but he never did. You can put the bellyband on tightly because it has an elastic insert that I really like. It also has a removable tail flap. The blanket fit really well. overall a really well made product. Also the customer service is outstanding. The blankey comes with a 1 year warranty. The tail flap got ripped off by another horse and I was able to return the blanket for a $30 cleaning charge/processing fee with no problems. I never thought that the tail flap was covered by the warranty.
Dislikes: The blanket only comes in one color. This did not bother me but may bother some people. Also you need to order up one size. Especially with the closed front.
Quality: The quality was great. The warranty was great. I love the belly band style. A must for anyone who turns out all winter long and does not want to scrape mud off your horses belly.
Summary: I will definitely buy more from Schneiders in the future. I feel that their products are as advertised and the price is right. The warranty is great and no fuss.
