Purchase: I got this saddle used from someone at the barn I boarded at for $500. I was looking for a saddle for my hard to fit large pony.
Likes: I absolutely love this saddle!! I got it used almost 3 yrs ago. It is the most comfortable saddle I have ever ridden in. I'm not sure how old it was when I bought it but it is in great condition. Also it is durable enough for schooling but nice enough for any show. It has the quality of a much more expensive saddle. After at least 3 yrs that I know of it has some fading underneath the leathers but the color comes right back after I condition and clean it and it looks brand new. It has fit every equine I have tried it on from ponies to large horses.
Dislikes: The only problem is it has a tiny tiny tiny little tear in the stitching near where the seat is attached but it is hardly noticeable and doesn't effect the usability of the saddle. Keep in mind, I don't know how long this saddle was used before I bought it, it is probably at least 5 yrs old.
Quality: Leather is amazing quality for the price. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference in quality between this and a MUCH MUCH more expensive saddle.
Summary: I would definitely recommend this saddle or any Collegiate for that matter to anyone beginner or advanced. It is great for jumping and flatwork. My next saddle WILL BE a Collegiate.
