Purchase: I found this saddle while doing a broad search on ebay. I was not familiar with the brand Jeffries, but the photo showed a well crafted saddle. The starting bid was $395 without a reserve. No one bid against me, so I got a brand new saddle, made in England, with padded flaps for $395 plus shipping. A deal.
Likes: The recessed stirrup bars. I have never had a saddle that implemented this concept any better. Absolutely no bulge under my leg. The billets are of a very high quality leather and are very long. I will actually need to get a shorter girth because they are so long. The seat has foam rubber and is very comfortable. It puts my leg in just the right position. The saddle is also very light weight. I borrowed a friend's Collegiate and was impressed by how much lighter the Jeffries was.
Dislikes: Haven't found anything I don't like about it yet. I still have to break it in .
Quality: Excellent quality. No imperfections or cut corners. Quality throughout.
Summary: A friend at my barn saw me carrying in a new saddle and had to see it right away. She knew the brand and was stunned at the price. She said this saddle would last me a long time. I think it turned out to be a good bid on ebay.
