Purchase: This saddle had been ordered from Dover Saddlery and I paid $699.00 for it in a sale catalogue. It is a 17" Medium tree that I purchased for my QH/Thoroughbred cross mare for Hunter/Jumper horse shows.
Likes: Its a beautiful saddle, full of very admirable details. I enjoy the color, as well as the styling of this saddle. It also took oil beautifully.
Dislikes: The tree size that I had purchased was a medium tree, which turned out to be a tad bit more narrow then most Medium trees, and would probably fit a TB most agreeably.
Quality: The stitching is intact, the balance is wonderful, and aside from the tree fitting a bit narrow, it is very sound.
Summary: If you are not able to purchase a high brand saddle, such as a pessoa, or a bates because your budget prohibits it, then I would fully recommend a Dover Circuit Elite Saddle. It quality, and craftsmanship makes a beautiful addition to any Hunter Jumper stable.
