Purchase: I bought a 19" Black Bates Caprilli A/P saddle from from a local tack store. I paid $1885.00.
Likes: I love the quality of this saddle. The leather is so soft, and supple. It feels as though I am riding on a cloud. It fits me perfectly, and the gullet change system changes to fit my horses wither and back beautifully.
Dislikes: I think the seat runs a bit small. Where I am usually a 17.5" in close contact saddle, I needed a 19" saddle for this all purpose saddle, which then made the length of this saddle longer, and would possibly bother a short backed horse.
Quality: The quality is beautiful and the leather is amazing. The tree seems comfy for my horse, and the cair panels add extra comfort.
Summary: The saddle is wonderful for low level eventing, low level cross country, dressage, low level jumping and wonderful for fox hunting. Its a very pleasant saddle all around, hence the reason it is an all purpose saddle : D
