Purchase: I purchased this helmet from a local tack shop for about $440. I bought it because I am about to go off to college and I wanted a nice helmet for competitions with the equestrian team.
Likes: I LOVE LOVE LOVE this helmet! It is the newest version of the GPA. The pads on the inside are not only SUPER comfortable, but also removable! You can take them out to wash them or just to dry them out after a hot summer ride! The chinstrap is slightly different from the original Titium; it is more of a rectangle, and padded very well. This is am AMAZINGLY comfortable helmet. I had a similar experience as one of the other reviewers; the first time i rode with my GPA it started raining! I was really worried at first (understandably) but my trainer assured me that it would be fine. It had a little bit of rippling near the base, but sure enough, an hour after i got home, my helmet looked like it had when i bought it!
Dislikes: There is nothing I don't absolutely love about this helmet. Before I bought it, I was a little bitter about the price tag, but now it makes perfect sense to me! This helmet is SOO high quality! It is unbeatable in looks, comfort, and most importantly: safety!
Quality: This helmet is made with the best quality materials. The whole helmet is lightweight but VERY sturdy. Even just holding the helmet in your hands you can FEEL the quality. The titium strip is lightweight and has vents to allow maximum airflow, which is actually apparent while riding.
Summary: I love this helmet and am very satisfied with my purchase. I would gladly pay this much for a GPA again, and definitely will when the time comes to replace this helmet. I HIGHLY recommend this helmet! If I could I would give it a 10+++!
