Purchase: I purchased my first Crosby Prix de Nation after the hand me down from my trainer had warn out. He used it to ride 8 or more horses daily 6 days a week all year long. It speaks to the character and quality of the saddle.

Likes: I am a purist when it comes to equitation and riding in general. I see too often a tendency for others to get to 'gimacky' when it comes to their equipment. I love the simplicity of the Crosby, and it has become the most 'classic' of saddles. I come from the George Morris school of riding, and it fits the parameters set forth by him.

Dislikes: I cannot find fault with this saddle. Any complaint of discomfort can be blamed on those who have to work in the saddle. I feel that the goal is to get conditioned well enough where it becomes comfortable. This saddle teaches you to find the 'right spot and position'.

Quality: I like the construction and the tree is of a sturdy sort.

Summary: This saddle is a classic in every way. I think if more riders rode and learned the classic seat in this saddle , that they would become better riders for the effort.
