Purchase: I found Dixieland Gaited Saddles online and was immediately impressed. After checking some other gaited saddle makers I always came back to Dixieland because of the quality and price. Then I spoke with and e-mailed owner Cynthia Wright and I was even more impressed. She was very helpful, prompt to respond and there was no "sales pressure." I bought a mahogany and black two tone endurance saddle from their In Stock inventory and it is gorgeous! With all the premium options I got (leather covered tooled endurance stirrups, extra padded seat, real wool felt, etc.) I paid $800 which I feel is an excellent price for the quality of this saddle.
Likes: It fits my horse and me! Neither one of us have any complaints. It is well made, comfortable and everything about it is high quality. I especially like the endurance rigging, the wool felt and the round skirt. I am very happy I got the extra padding in the seat too! We have put many miles on this saddle already and it has been well worth the investment.
Dislikes: The leather on one of the cinch straps is a bit thicker than the other which makes cinching on the offside a little "stiff" but that is it. I am very happy with everything else.
Quality: The saddle is very well constructed with lots of attention to detail. It is stitched well and the leather is high quality.
Summary: I am so pleased with all aspects of my saddle that I would highly recommend Dixieland Gaited Saddles. In fact, I have, since I receive so many compliments on my saddle. The quality and craftsmanship, in my opinion, are first rate and the customer service is wonderful.
