Purchase: I bought these tall boots for 100 USD (on sale) at Dover Saddlery. I bought these tall boots because my trainer explained to me that I needed tall boots for bigger shows.
Likes: I like the fit of these boots. I have a pretty slim leg and they fit them perfectly. This is after I soaked them in water and walked around the house as they dried out. The leather is very supple compared to my friend's tall boots which are of another brand. They are easy to ride in once you get use to them and they put your leg in a solid place.
Dislikes: I don't like how easily the leather can be scratched. You have to be extremely careful.
Quality: The overall construction and quality is excellent. I love the look and feel of these attractive boots.
Summary: I would recommend these tall boots to anyone who cares about the quality of their tack. Ariat has wonderful leather and fits well. The only thing is, is that you have to use a lot of time and elbow grease to work and soften them up. But, that's what you have to do with all tall boots. These tall boots are just awesome!!
