Purchase: I purchased the saddle on the internet from Kates.net on clearance at $299.00. I wanted a low cost Australian Saddle for my young horse who needed a smaller gullet than my current saddle has.
Likes: The saddle is beautiful, comfortable and light weight at only 16 lbs. Tim at Kates was very friendly and helpful before during and after the sale of the saddle. The saddle is well made and fits my horse perfectly. The saddle is rigged western so you don't have to use and overgirth, it girths up just like any western saddle does. Kates adjusted the saddle based on my wither measurements and shipped it the same day that I ordered it and provided me with a tracking number that same day by email.
Dislikes: I have no complaints.
Quality: The saddle is well made and should last for years. The seat is suede and is comfortable and grippy. It has leather covering the area where the stirrup leathers would normally cause wear, this is a nice feature that should help keep the saddle looking good for years to come.
Summary: I'm very pleased with how the saddle is made and how it fits my horse. The folks at Kates are very nice and helpful and I will gladly do business with them again.
