Purchase: I had been looking a different quality eventing saddles on the market last year, and I had really fallen in love with the styling of the Jaguar XJ Mono. I just couldn't bring myself to spend over $2500.00 for a saddle that I had never even sat in. About 4 months ago a Friend of mine called me and said that they had found a saddle very similar to the XJ and for less then half the price. I went down the next day sat in the saddle and purchased it immediately!
Likes: Wow what can I say, I love this saddle! Not only is it light on the wallet and the exact style I had been looking for, but it is comfy to boot! Now I must admit, that the quality of the saddle may not be in line with say a stubben, but it is still definitely well worth the $850.00 that I paid! The saddle is cushy and soft and fits my TB like a glove!
Dislikes: The only gripe I have is that the saddle did not come rigged. That would have been a nice touch, but I just used my old rigging.
Quality: The saddle is well made in all aspects.
Leather - Great!
Stitching - Great!
Construction - Great!
Tree - Great!
Can I say more!
Summary: If you are looking for a quality saddle, and don't have 2K, then perhaps a Buckinghams Finest will work for you.
