Purchase: I bought this vest at a western store because I needed something close to a jacket that I could ride in during winter to keep warm, but yet have movement of my arms during rigorous english riding. I paid $79.99.
Likes: I LOVE that this vest comes in XXL because I am a big-boned girl and have a hard time finding vests that fit across my bust. It keeps me warm and dry and also has a convenient inside zip pocket at the heart where I can keep my cell phone when riding. It is very waterproof. When I have to hand walk my horses in the rain, it acts as a jacket even so it doesn't have sleeves, the down feathers make up for being sleeveless. It also flatters the waist the way it tapers down at the sides.
Dislikes: I have nothing negative to say about this vest.
Quality: This vest is of high quality and holds up well around horses, snags, and weather. I've snagged it countless times on gates and to this day, it has never torn. It doesn't stain at all either. If a horse smudges it or you get white scratch marks from snagging it, it comes off with a damp cloth.
Summary: This vest is a GREAT investment for any equestrian, be it English or Western. It's a vest for the harsh elements in fall/winter/spring.
