Purchase: I bought these boots to protect my horse's legs while jumping. I wanted a boot that could provide extra support under the fetlock (for when my horse landed) to help prevent over-extension. I bought them at a local tack shop and paid around $50.00 for the pair.
Likes: They fit well and are easily adjustable, and I like the extra support they provide the fetlock (something most jumping boots lack). The inside of the boot is very easy to clean.
Dislikes: I find that sand can get underneath the boot, which is annoying but does not seem to cause rubs on my horse. When I ride in a field, the outside of the boot picks up seeds, burrs, little pieces of grass, ect. so they can be difficult to clean up. These boots also absorb water, which makes them less-than-ideal for cross-country.
Quality: I've found that the boots are holding up fairly well, by the Velcro tabs are unraveling a bit, and the stitching holding the tabs to the boot is coming loose.
Summary: These boots do the job I bought them for. However, for the price I expected them to hold up a bit better.
