Purchase: I bought my Dover Pro Sport Boots from Dover Saddlery, paying $39.90 for the set of two. My trainer recommended them.
Likes: I really like my Dover Pro Sport Boots as they are very versitale. They protect almost all of the horse's front lower legs, and they offer support as well. These boots can go on in different ways, it seems, to offer even more protection to a certain leg area. They are comfortable for the horse and easy to take care of. Almost everyone at my barn has a pair. The boots also hold up fairly well, and look great.
Dislikes: The only things I've found that I dislike about the Dover Pro Sport Boots are that they get scratches quicker then I would prefer (although I am the person that throws the boots carelessy on the brushed concerete floor), and that I have yet to find a way to clean the sheepskin lining.
Quality: Overall, the boots are nicely constructed with thought given to the shape of a horse's lower leg, and for the horse's comfort and rider ease. They seem to last for quite a while -- my trainer has had the same boots for 5 years, using them on different horses at least 3 times a day.
Summary: I really like these boots and I would defintly recommend them to any rider who wants a good-quality, low-matience boot that offers great protection and looks good, too.
