Purchase: My Dressage instructor told me that the Isabel saddle may be an option for my wide-backed horse, because of the "easy change gullet system".

Likes: The Isabel is a very nice looking saddle with a lot of great unique features.

Dislikes: My horse is a Shire/Arabian cross...way too wide for even the widest gullet. The "easy-change" gullet system is not so very easy to use. The saddle itself is really not made for the wider horse. Although you can get the pommel end of the saddle to move a bit wider, it still leaves the cantle end fairly narrow. The saddle is also a bit too restricting. I sent my Isabel saddle back for the 90% refund.

Quality: The construction of the saddle is nice. Wintec did a beautiful job in the presentation. I just personally felt too locked into position. There seemed to be no way to adjust your position, once you get into the saddle.

Summary: This is a nice saddle if you have an average-size horse and want a lot of help in your position. The price is pretty good. If you have a wide-bodied horse, I suggest the Duett saddles. These are real leather saddles at a price that is about the same as the Wintec Isabel.
