Purchase: I bought these shoes at The Paddock so I could try them on first, and paid retail.
Likes: They are lightweight, comfortable and cool. I wanted a shoe that was not so hot, especially after a trail ride when I have to wear them repositioning the trailer, letting the horse out, unloading tack etc.
Dislikes: They are hard to put on! The top of the heel bends over in places and is stiff in others. You have to get all the heel/ankle material straightened out of course, since otherwise it would be painful. Just seems silly they are so difficult to get smooth. Very comfortable once they are on correctly. (but these are just shoes, so why is this such a problem?)
Quality: I have worn them on 5 rides. I will only wear them for the riding and a bit before and after. Seems like they will hold up. They are not waterproof, but they are very cool and lightweight.
Summary: I think I will like these. I would give them a 5 if they didn't have the material rolling down when putting them on.
