Purchase: I found this saddle as used at a local tack shop.I bought it to replace another dressage saddle for schooling and trail riding.I paid $450.00 for it.It is in good condition with sun fading on the seat and flaps.
Likes: The seat is comfortable and puts you in a good position overall. Craftsmanship is very good.Is comfortable on the trail and has medium knee rolls that allow me to get up on the neck of my horse going uphill.
Dislikes: I am having a very difficult time getting this saddle to fit any of my horses! Today I tried it on a polish Arab mare and she is the first one who it actually fit.My horses are cranky with it and it just isn't working out for me.
Quality: My saddle is 11 years old and is still in good condition. The craftsmanship/construction is excellent.Courbette quality must be superior for this saddle to have withstood so much use and still look very good.
Summary: If I have it reflocked I am betting my fitting problem will go away.I am impressed with my saddle and would not hesitate to buy a newer one of this model. This saddle was made to last!
