Model: 1511 Barrel Racer
Category: Barrel Saddles
Purchase: I paid $360.00 for a well used one in good condition at a local tack shop.I bought it to use for trail riding.
Likes: The seat is comfortable and it is an okay entry level saddle.I really love the nylon leather stirrup billet adjuster's.They have no restriction whatsoever and feel broke in with lots of free swing and flexability.A big plus for a long day on the trail.
Dislikes: The poor quality of the leather. The ralide tree that if used on a wide horse will stretch out over time and become useless for a smaller horse as I found out the hard way.I hate the 3 way rigging system. It makes the saddle slide back no matter which way you cinch up. Very frustrating!
Quality: Fair construction.Fair quality.
Summary: Will not hold up to a serious gymkhana rider or barrel racer. Would be good for a casual rider. Is comfortable to trail ride in but make darn sure it fits your horse before taking off.
Usefulness Rating: 3 out of 5.
