Purchase: I was looking for a new show bridle for my hunter and found this Crosby bridle on sale at my local tack shop. I paid $102.
Likes: This bridle came with raised fancy stitched reins. A big plus! It is a pretty bridle with tight white stitching and a rich havana color. The leather is soft and pliable.
Dislikes: It fell apart!
Quality: Although this bridle looks beautiful, the quality turned out to be quite poor! After I used the bridle the first time, I noticed the leather on the reins near the bit start to separate into 2 layers. It only got worse. After using this bridle 4 times, the leather on both reins, the noseband, and the browband was separating. It appears to be poor adhesive. Additionally, the leather used on the lacing on the reins was poorer quality than the other leather used throughout the bridle.
Summary: Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Although Crosby bridlework used to be known for quality, they are now made in India. I have since returned the bridle and will not buy Crosby products in the future.
