Purchase: I purchased my Best Friend's Bareback pad from KV VET for under $70. Previously, I ordered a leather and fleece bareback pad from eBay. The leather pad, while nice, was on the small side and the d-rings were placed in a way so as to be underneath my leg. The BF Bareback pad was purchased to replace the leather pad.
Likes: I like the size of the pad. It is about the size of a western saddle pad. It doesn't have any d-rings to get in the way. The BF pad has a tacky bottom that does not slip like the fleece pad did. It also comes with a nice cinch that is also tacky. The covering is a sort of suede fabric that is also very grippy. It has a pocket for little things, as well as a water bottle holder and bottle. It comes in a wide variety of colors, so you can find one that looks well on your horse. All in all, it looks good, is comfortable, and doesn't slip at all.
Dislikes: Nothing -- it's awesome.
Quality: It is very well made and of high quality.
Summary: If you are looking for a bareback pad, I highly recommend the Best Friend's Bareback pad.
