Manufacturer: Wintec
Model: 500 Dressage
Category: Dressage Saddles

Purchase: I purchased my 500 at THE TACK ROOM in camden SC about 3 years ago for 375 on sale, no CAIR package. I was interested in moving from hunters to dressage, and was low on funds...

Likes: this saddle is nice for the beginner dressage rider with very little cash! i will say, it does tip you forward some, and i find the seat not as deep as i would prefer. i have owned mine for 3 years, and the only reason i stopped riding in it was a tornado crashed through my barn and threw it 1/2 mile down the road! however, i will say this: aside from one ugly scratch on the flap, it is still very rideable! i even took it to the saddle shop to make sure the tree was fine, and it was! Before the storm, you wouldn't know it was 3 years old!! it still looked new i LOVE the easy clean of the saddle, hose it and go. and really you can't tell it's not REAL leather.

Dislikes: there's only a few things i don't care for: the seat seems to be flatter than typical, it's not suitable for upper levels. it tips you forward onto your crotch, i at least have to work very hard at staying back. i also wish that the little plastic leather holder thing didn't say "WINTEC" that's the only thing that give it away!

Quality: the quality is great!!! WINTEC is very good about fixing things also. they have a 100% guarantee on the tree, no matter what, but like i said, mine went through a tornado and was fine!!! and after 3 years, it didn't look worn at all, it's very hard to scratch.

Summary: great beginner saddle, i now trail ride in mine, i believe it's indestructible!!!!
