Purchase: i purchased my Courbette resently at VTO Saddlery.com(if you haven't been there, GO they do 3.99 shipping on everything even saddles, and you get them in 2 days!) i believe paid 699 for it, but, very little shipping. i had moved up level wise, and needed an upgrade(from wintec dressage)plus, my wintec went through a tornado...
Likes: I LOVE THIS SADDLE!!!!!!! it is one of the nicest things i have sat in for the money, or more! the seat is nice and deep, but not too deep, the blocks are just big enough to put you in a nice place to post or sit the trot. i feel like i'm riding a very expensive horse with this saddle. the leather is waterproof, but very soft, out of the box there was NO breaking in! it also has a special tree(new?) that changes to fit i have a high withered, wide shouldered TB that fits it wonderfully, but my friends stocky flat withered paint fits it nicely too, they are total opposites.
Dislikes: Nothing!!
a word of caution though...unless you're riding a huge warmblood, get a small girth. the girth i was using on my 16.1 TB for my wintec dressage was a 26, and it fits ALL THE WAY UP on the courbette. he now wears a 20!
Quality: the quality is very nice, as i have heard with Courbette in general. the flexi-tree is very nice if you're regularly riding different horses. the stitching and flocking is all very lovely. it's just a sharp saddle.
Summary: AWESOME SADDLE, everyone should own one or two of these!!
