Purchase: I had been looking through the Dover Saddlery Catalog and saw this beautiful saddle. I really liked the shape and look to the saddle, and having paid approx. $500 for it, I found it to be amazing.
Likes: I absolutely love the look and style of this saddle. The color is very rich and the leather just looks like butter, yet it feels even better! The seat is amazingly comfortable, with knee rolls that are in the mid-range of small to large. The saddle rides very well on the flat and just as well over fences. Everyone who's ridden in it wants one of their own now!
Dislikes: I would have liked a slightly wider gullet, though it has fit a QH, two separate and differently built TB's as well as a National Show Horse, so it fits a variety of horses, though not on the larger side.
Quality: The leather is excellent, stitching is impeccable and seems to be sturdy. It wears in nicely, and your butt just melts into the saddle which stays soft.
Summary: I took a complete chance on this saddle and haven't regretted it once. It's beautiful, it looks great on every horse I put it on and it's a dream to ride in. I'd most definitely recommend it!
