Purchase: Purchased on line through VTO (who are wonderful, by the way)for $3400 with free shipping and free leathers.
Likes: This saddle is so nice. Soft leather at the seat and knee rolls with firm leather flaps. It is hand stitched and it shows. The leather is top notch, the stitching is beautiful. The seat is deep and holds your upper body in a perfect position. The first day that I rode in it I did flat work at the walk, trot, extended trot, sitting trot, canter and hand gallop and I felt very comfortable at every gate. Then I took some lower (3') fences and moved up from there into a few 3'6" and 3'9" combinations. I felt wonderfully placed at each level and very secure. If your budget allows and you're in to jumping - this is a great saddle investment.
Dislikes: Price is up there.
Quality: Soft leather at the seat and knee rolls, firm leather flaps with perfect hand stitching. Wonderfully constructed.
Summary: If you can afford a hand made (made in Italy) hand crafted saddle and you're willing to invest in a saddle with great resale value (but check out the used saddle boards and you'll see that no one ever resells these saddles)this is one to buy.
