Purchase: I purchased this breastplate from Petsmart/SLT clearance for about $40. It was a great deal that I couldn't resist, and I had been in need of a breastplate for some time.
Likes: The leather is very soft and feels great. It is adjustable, which is nice, and fancy stitched, so it is good for showing as well as schooling. The price was great also.
Dislikes: It is HUGE! My horse is 16 hands and quite large in build, and I had to punch holes for it to be serviceable. It is also entirely too big for my 15.1 hand draft cross. Also, the leather color tends to bleed a little on the white stitching.
Quality: Excellent leather, durable, and attractive. Tight stitching, very well constructed.
Summary: Great if you have a larger horse, but very unfortunate if you don't, because it truly is a quality breastplate, especially for the price.
