Purchase: I purchased this pad from aretesaddlery.com for $125.
Likes: This pad is great! It's very non-slip, keeps the fleece on my Skito pad clean, and really seems to make my mare more comfortable. She rounds up more readily and her transitions are smoother. Her back is also cooler than with the neoprene pad I tried before. I also used it over a 1/2" felt pad with good results.
Dislikes: I wish it were a bit more affordable, but good horse equipment is rarely cheap...
Quality: The pad is a one piece dense foam with air holes along the spine. It's only 1/4" thick. I easily trimmed it with some sharp shears to fit under my other pads perfectly, so it doesn't show.
Summary: Top of the line shock and anti-slip pad! Horses with sensitive backs or saddle fit issues will love this pad! It's perfect for adding a layer of comfort for your horse without adding too much bulk or changing the fit of your saddle.
