Purchase: Local saddlery for Aus $239. I went to buy another pair of easy boots but the boa boot was recommended as new improved seller. I now know they are a lot cheaper elsewhere.
Likes: They are very easy to get on, once you have practised the technique.
Drip dry quickly.
Dislikes: I feel that I have to over tighten them to keep them straight. They have a tendency to twist on both front and back feet. I have had the farrier check the sizing also. I couldn't go any smaller as the hooves wouldn't fit in them. I have trouble with them chaffing. One day after a long hard ride on hilly rocky terrain my horse was bleeding on one of her pasterns. I sought advice from the store I purchased from. They recommended the gaiters. I used the gaiters and they constantly pull out of the boot or twist around so are not working. As a last ditch effort I have a pair of the newly designed gaiters on order(which first store did not tell me about), from another store to see if this will fix the problem.
Quality: polyurathene? base, synthetic upper, tightened by turning a dial at the front of the boot that draws in steel cable that is around the outside of the boot.
Summary: I have a long term injury to my left arm, so I love the ease in which they can be put on. I am very disappointed at the amount of twisting and chaffing, will give benefit of doubt and try with new gaiters when they arrive, otherwise will go back to using easy boots. (which ironically are harder for me to get on.)
