Have a horse that is sore for 2-3 weeks everytime her hooves are trimmed. I wanted to try these so that I did not have to miss any riding time.
Likes: They go on and off very easily and they stay on. In about 10 minutes my horse was used to them and walking around normally.
Dislikes: They do get dirt in the top. - need to order the Boa Gaiters - they are not very good without the Gaiters. In my opinion the Gaiters should be included with the boots due to the fact that they are necessary - the boots are not very usable without them. The dirt packs into the bottom and is very hard to clean out. If you were riding in sand this would be a major problem. I haven't tried them in sand yet - but I will be using them in sand over the winter - so I need to get the gaiters before then.
They also did rub - right along the coronet band. The horse I am using them on has round flat feet - If you had a horse with a more upright or longer hoof they would probably only rub a little on the hoof itself which would not be so much of a concern.
Quality: Construction and quality seem very good.
I have only been using them for a couple of weeks so time will tell.
Summary: Was disappointed by the fact that they rub and that they get dirt in the top.
I don't think they could be used all day (due to the rubbing) but they seem okay when riding for an hour or so.
