Purchase: I ordered this saddle from Dover for $500
Likes: The saddle fit my pony very nicely, most saddles i tried on her kept sliding but this one stayed put perfectly. My pony quit bucking after i started using this saddle. It is very easy to clean ad the stitching is tight and has not frayed one bit. The billets are thick and strong and haven't stretched. It is a steal at $500. My friend bought one on my recommendation and it fits her pony splendidly as well. Very comfortable seat and padded flaps.
Dislikes: The color is a bit too light for my taste but with a good oiling it will darken. The billet guards are a little thin. I think they work decently enough but a thicker pair might serve you better.
Quality: Great, tight, even stitching. Nice leather absorbs oil well, the printed leather on the flaps doesn't absorb as well but is soft and sturdy. The billets became slightly discolored in some places but not very bad.
Summary: BUY THIS SADDLE! A perfect first (or second) saddle. Perfectly proportioned for ponies and a great price.
