Purchase: I found these paddock boots at a local tack shop. I wanted some leather boots, but for $35 I decided to give the Saxon paddocks a try.
Likes: Compared to the other $100 boots, I didn't think these would last a month. Two years later, and they're looking great! I've been brutal to them: trail rides, cleaning stalls, muddy pastures, etc. They're very comfortable also, and I don't have to worry about cleaning/conditioning them.
Dislikes: The color (mine are brown) doesn't match brown half-chaps well.
Quality: These boots are made very well as they have stood up to my daily horse chores and riding for two years. My chaps have rubbed a tiny gray spot on one of the boots, but after being stepped on by multiple horses as well, that is the only sign of wear they show!
Summary: I love these paddock boots, and they make a great all-around boot for barn chores and schooling. No worrying about cleaning and conditioning these boots, just hose them down to clean them. I'm planning to buy another pair in black soon.
