Purchase: I paid $700 for this saddle from State Line Tack after going and sitting in it. I bought it to do endurance racing as well as low level jumping and low level dressage.
Likes: I liked the longer cut for long legged riders. It was also pretty light and easy to clean.
Dislikes: I have a HUGE warning: This saddle model slides like crazy. I was slow galloping across a field, and something spooked my horse. My horse jumped a few feet to the side, but the whole saddle slid completely underneath my horse, pitching me neatly over her head at 25 mph. Needless to say, I was seriously injured, and my riding partner, who rode behind me throughout the accident, told me later that she believes I would not have fallen if the saddle hadn't abandoned me. Of course, I wouldn't be able to judge that for myself, because I don't remember anything about the accident. Wintec, I believe, caused a sticky situation to become a serious injury and all riders should know this risk before riding in a Wintec.
Quality: On a lighter note, the material wore pretty badly, and going up steep hills, I encountered problems with the stirrup bars. Something in the way Wintec made them, the stirrups actually slide back when going up steep hills. Also, there is nothing as far as knee rolls to stop you from going forward in a refusal.
Summary: I don't recommend this saddle. The added risk is just unnecessary when there are so many other nice, safer saddles out there.
