Purchase: I bought these great boots at Millbrook Tack in Grand Rapids, MI. I paid $114.95. I wanted a tall boot that would be warm for outdoor winter riding and comfortable.
Likes: I love how warm they are, they are very comfortable. They look cool. The price was nice and definetly worth what I paid. They loosen a bit in the ankle with in a couple hours of wear so there isn't that uncomfortable break in period. I love the suede inner calf, it is very grippy. They are insulated with thinsulate so they aren't too heavy for the warmth you get. They are also breathable.
Dislikes: I have a high instep and would like them more if they were zip ups. Though even with my high instep I am able to get my foot in with mild effort.
Quality: Ariat Frostbiter tall boots have a waterproof leather shoe, rubber sole, ribbed suede up the inside calf for grip, they are insulated throughout with thinsulate, and have an adjustuable strap at the top of the calf.
Summary: For the price and the quality I think these are the best boots. I've tried other tall winter boots around the same price and found them to be too heavy and stiff. I love these boots and would highly recomend them for cold temperature ridding.
