Purchase: I bought my Centennial used at a local tack shop(one of the more expensive ones) with it being the only saddle for sale under $1000. It is moderately used, yet the padding has not even become broken in yet. With these saddles retailing at appx $2000, my $600 used was a steal.
Likes: I have been searching endlessly for a saddle to fit my 99.4% Arabian gelding. NOTHING fits this ridiculously high withered horse, with large shoulders that protrude back quite far. Most other brand's wide saddles were too loose at the wither and too tight at the shoulder. The medium Centennial fit perfectly, and evenly. This saddle is also the most comfortable for myself, and also seems to allow my horse MUCH more shoulder freedom, with his trot lengthening on even my first ride in this saddle.
Dislikes: I only have two dislikes of this saddle. First, the flaps are quite large, which makes my legs look quite small(they are small to begin with) on my horse, although they do keep my legs in a great position. Secondly, the seat sizes are deceiving. I typically fit a 16.5-17" seat, when in this saddle i nicely fit a 17.5".
Quality: The tree is wonderful, fitting my hard to fit horse. Even used, the leather holds its own, and is very easy to clean, as well the leather has not begun flaking at all(unlike some of the other saddles of the same age that I have tried).
Summary: This is a wonderful saddle, that everyone should try. It puts you in a wonderful jumping or basic dressage seat, while at the same time fits many different types of horses. If you have a hard to fit horse, try a Crosby!
