Purchase: My parents purchased this saddle for me through a catalog in El Toro Tack and Feed in El Toro (aka lake forest), California. They later said that it had been purchased for $899.00
Likes: I couldn't possibly have loved this saddle any more! The leather is high quality, soft, and a beautiful color. The saddle hardly even needed any breaking in. The stitching is perfect. Pessoa saddles shall always be my favorite! After having ridden in this saddle for five years, it has held up very well. Aside from the unavoidable wear caused by my jeans and breeches rubbing the surface, the saddle still looks new! Unfortunately, after saying "I hope I'll never have to buy another saddle," my instructor informed me that I had outgrown my saddle. I purchased a new saddle of a different brand, although it was good quality for the price, it only made me appreciate the pessoa quality more.
Dislikes: Nothing. This saddle was, in my eyes, flawless.
Quality: The stitching is elegant and beautiful, the leather is soft and of a beautiful color, and the saddle is well built to create the best comfort for both horse AND rider.
Summary: If you want a saddle that is comfortable and is not going to cause any discomfort, then you'll want this saddle. The only suggestion I have is that if you can have a pessoa as your first saddle, make sure you'll be able to continue to stay with the pessoa brand, because you'll never want another brand of saddle!
