Purchase: I bought a 16" Rocking R Roper from Stonewall Saddlery, Stonewall MB aprox 10 years ago. I paid $1700 on sale, came with breast collar, front and back cinch.
Likes: I didn't know anything about Rocking R saddles when I bought mine, it wasn't until after that I did my research. This saddle from the day I got it was extremely comfortable! The high cantle and roping swells makes for a very secure feeling and a great ride.
Another thing is that it fits well on any shape of horse. I have a high withered gelding and several wide backed 2 year old colts that I use this saddle on and it works wonders!
Dislikes: The fenders are very limited in movement. I wish they could move a little more front to back.
Quality: It is very heavy duty, Ive had it for over 10 years nothing but the latigos have needed replacing.
Ive roped off of it, and hauled logs etc around, its held up wonderfully.
Summary: All in all Id say this is an exceptional saddle. I'm looking for another to add to my collection, a reining saddle this time and I'm going to get another Rocking R.
