Purchase: I purchased this saddle from Jenna's Tack Track on E-Bay in May 2007. It was on sale for Mother's Day for $895.00.
Likes: I purchased this saddle to replace the show saddle that my son had outgrown. My whole family has rode and shown in this saddle. It rides great and puts your leg in the correct position. The tooling is very nice and it has lots of beautiful silver. The leather is very soft and the saddle already feels broken in. I have a very expensive saddle that I show in and I have to admit that this saddle looks and feels almost as good as my much more expensive saddle.
Dislikes: It does take awhile to get a saddle shipped from Texas. As most good western saddles it is heavy!
Quality: When I received my saddle it had a piece of bent silver and a rough area on the tooling by the seat. Alamo was contacted and I was sent a new piece of silver and given a rebate. They also requested photos and detailed description of the rough area to help with quality control.
Summary: Alamo was very good about backing their saddle. I was offered an apology and a rebate or replacement saddle. I am very pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of this saddle.
