Purchase: I bought these at Dover Saddlery for around $100
Likes: These boots were great at first. They're very nice boots and provide very good protection. As you probably all ready know they are lined with memory foam which molds to the horse's legs and absorbs most shock encountered by them. They're well constructed also.
Dislikes: If you going to spend the money on these boots throw in the extra money and get the ones with the REMOVABLE liners!! Once these boots get dirty on the inside they are VERY hard to clean. They appear clean because you wash all of the dirt out, but the absorb sweat and you can't rinse it all out. This makes the foam get a little bit stiffer, but still usable, and they smell terrible. The removable liners you can wash with micro-tek to get rid of this problem. I also recommend the hook stud closures instead of the velcro because the bottom strap on the boot that doesn't have that extra piece of velcro to lay over the top comes undone really easily in dusty conditions.
Quality: Overall quality and construction was very good!
Summary: Great boots! Go above and beyond the job that you require for them to do. If your going to spend the money on them get the ones with removable liners because they are much easier to care for. Hook stud closures are also a good idea vs the velcro because they stay put better in all conditions.
