Purchase: Transport of one horse from New Hampshire to Utah $1195 including layover boarding in Colorado. All-State is a smaller company, more personal, flexible, and friendly.
Likes: The staff at All-State were very friendly during all of our phone calls. They answered all our questions and walked us through the entire process. We called several times for updates on our horse's condition and they KNEW who he was and how he was doing. The transport drivers were caring, knowledgable horse people. Upon delivery the drivers were in close contact with us-transfer was very smooth and our horse arrived in excellent condition.
Dislikes: All-State tried too hard to make us happy and we were given a very early delivery date(7 days). Because of this, we were expecting our horse much sooner than the REALISTIC time frame(9-12days) given on their website. Our horse still arrived in good time, but it was frustrating to have the date delayed.( but for good reasons--federal regulations, a broken trailer axle, horrible snowy roads, bad traffic and sleep!!)
Quality: Their trailers are slant load, floor to ceiling separation between stalls and looked very safe and sturdy. Our horse had hay and water at all times- he was munching when he got here.--danced right off the trailer. Our horse was fed his suppliments during layover and a staff member went out and played with him.
Summary: I was really nervous about shipping a horse cross country. It took 14 days, with 9 days spent in layover in a private paddock. I have no problems with the time spent in layover. It gave our horse time to eat, rest and get accustomed to a higher elevation. I would gladly ship with All-state again.
