Purchase: I bought this at Marys Tack and Feed in Del Mar, CA.
Likes: It was very comfortable. Easy to sit the trot in for
a jumping/all purpose saddle. This would probably be a very nice saddle for someone who doesn't do a lot of jumping.
Dislikes: Huge knee rolls put my let in an awkward position when jumping. Seat is a little too deep,
I always felt like I had to make a big movement
in order to get out of the saddle to jump.
Quality: The saddle was very nice looking and held up
relatively well. The leather wore out where my legs were, but this wasn't visible when you were riding. It didn't "break in" very easily, I had it for
about three years and it was still a little stiff, but looked almost new, other than the leg rubs.
Summary: This is a pretty nice looking very comfortable saddle, but I wouldn't recommend it for
eventing which was what I bought it for,
and was told that it was for. You get a little
stuck in the saddle and the huge knee pads
put your lower leg in a weird position.
