Purchase: I attended a saddle fitting and purchased the saddle for $3920.
Likes: It fitted the horse well over the shoulders, and I felt very comfortable in the saddle
Dislikes: The saddle was a air panel system and my horse did not like it. They also fit the saddle very wide - over 5" clearance between the air panels. The combination made by horse very sore, requiring therapy to get him back into work again.
Quality: The saddle itself had a lot of wear for a used saddle. It was quite heavy - maybe because of the air I am not sure. I liked the deep seat, narrow twist, and the knee rolls. The leather is soft and good quality.
Summary: Dealing with the company is a nightmare. I was charged $420 more for the saddle than I agreed too, the return was almost impossible. Schleese took 2 months to issue my return and would not cover the interest charges on my credit card. If you return a saddle there is a $106 administration fee, which is not mentioned anywhere in the purchase contract, and you still pay for the fitting too, and return shipping. It cost me more than $300 to try out a Schleese.
