Purchase: I bought my Alpina cc saddle new off of eBay for $700 dollars including courbette leathers.
Likes: I find the Alpina saddle has a wonderful look to it and a lovely color (newmarket) the more I oil it the richer it gets! It fits the horses I have used it on well, TB. I like the emotion tree that self adjusts for narrower horses.
Dislikes: I find that the tree does not fit all horses, and seems narrow for wb. I have long legs and am 5'10" so the flap is short for me and my knee sticks over the flat a bit when I have the sturrips short for bigger jumping. I also find the seat a little hard to be called a soft seat saddle. Other then that I love this saddle!
Quality: I find the saddle well made and of high quality for the price. The color is really nice and the leather does get supple, mine was very dry when I got it.
Summary: Over all I like the Courbette Alpina saddle and would say it's great for it's price and for an average high rider with a not really wide horse!
